tn 07/05/2013 Nh Age: 17 or under What is the size comparison to a Men's street shoe?
I am buying these for my son who is a size 10 street but we got size 11 Bloch jazz shoes and they are tight.
Any idea how to convert for these Capezio's?
These shoes are actually sized for women, and they do run on the small side. To get the men's equivalent I would order up 2 sizes from his street shoe, making it a 12.0. Since they are a little snug I may even order up another .5 size to a 12.5. Unfortunately though we cannot guarantee sizing, but based on experience that is my best recommendation. - DDS Customer Service (07/05/2013)
These shoes do run small, I totally agree.
If they're extremely tight, just order a size up.
If they're semi tight, order half a size up.
remember, they have to fit perfectly but snug. Not an uncomfortable tight.
In my opinion. - Bumbleberry5 (08/05/2013)
I would buy 2 size larger than your street shoes for your son. I did that for my son and it worked perfectly. Make sure you choose M (medium) or W (Wide). I had to choose W because of my son's wide foot. - Jvicky (11/21/2013)
These shoes ran tight on me. I would consider looking into another brand. - Speedster (03/18/2014)
Yah, men's shoes sizes are hard to compare. The industry still works best with women's sizes. Just had the same problem. It is always a best bet to start 2 FULL SIZES larger than street shoe size. And most dance shoes are naturally narrow so get them in WIDE if you can.
Start with size 12W or 12.5 and go from there.
Capezio generally fits men's sizes better but for both you'll need 2 full sizes. - Muscman133 (09/23/2014)
Cindy 05/19/2013 Metairie, La Age: 45 to 54 Do these run small? My daughter wears a street shoe siz 6 1/2. What size should she get?
The manufacturer recommends ordering same as street shoe size. However, I do see a lot of customers that need to order up a size. These shoes do start a little smaller and stretch over time. I might recommend going up a size, though unfortunately I cannot guarantee it. - DDS Customer Service (05/20/2013)
I went with my regular size. The neoprene part definitely stretches for you to get them on and then hugs your foot. It may also depend if her foot is still growing it wouldn't hurt to order up a size - I'm 23, so my feet aren't growing. I just both tan and black in my regular size. They are very comfy shoes. - Zoloto (09/05/2013)
yes, I would try a half size up - Scottie (10/24/2013)
My daughter wears a street shoe size of 5 1/2. We ordered a size 6 and they fit well. - Jeanetteslp (08/20/2014)
I would get a full 2 sizes larger than her street shoe size, so I would buy an 8 1/2. - Motherof2dancers (02/26/2016)
The sizing on this item states to order the same as street shoe size, which would be what she normally wears in a tennis shoe. - DDS Customer Service (03/27/2013)
I am a size 8 in women's shoes and tend to be wider than many heels. I ordered an 8 regular in these and was just fine. They are sort of snug but I know they will stretch with wear. - Lassie (02/27/2014)
