CUSTOMERS SAY:
Bloch split-sole ballet shoes are highly praised for comfort and durability, with a soft leather and stretchy canvas insert that enhances arch appearance. Users recommend sizing down, note issues with wrinkling, and detachable insoles, but overall, highly recommend these shoes for ballet. (Based on customer reviews.)
The original Bloch split-sole ballet shoe combines a leather upper with a soft and flexible canvas arch insert, which will not stretch out of shape. It features an elastic drawstring, cotton lining and suede leather sock lining. Comes with pre-sewn elastics.

    What does the A, B, C, D mean?

Thank you for your inquiry! A,B,C,D indicates the width of the shoe. A being the most narrow, C being "average" and D being wide.

    Going from Child to Adult

My daughter is outgrowing these ballet slippers in the child version. Her last pair were size 1 C in the child's bloch prolite II hybrid. I see they only go to 1.5 in child's sizing. I'm wondering if I should hop over to adult sizing. If so, what size should I order? She is right between a 1.5-2 in girls street shoes. Thank you so much!

You can easily transition into the adult sizing for this item. First increase the child street shoe size by two. Then follow the suggested fitting for the adult shoe you are purchasing. All of the fitting guides are listed on the product page.

I'm not sure what size I am.....

I wear a 4.5 child shoe and a 6.5 adult shoe. I read most of the sizing reviews and a lot of people are saying the sizing suggestions aren't accurate. Please help me! What size am I?! Thanks! :)

If you wear an adult size 6.5 you will need to order 3 sizes smaller, according to the suggest fitting. These shoes run 3 sizes large.

We previously have bought these ballet slippers but can't see the size, they measure 8'' from heel t

Because sizing for Bloch is different, it would be hard to determine the size based on the measurement of the shoe. Please contact Customer Service so we can better assist you.

The cross cross straps are not attached! Am I suppose to have these sewn or is this a defect? Please

Most split sole ballet slippers come with the elastic sewn only at the heels. You would need to cross the elastic, and sew at the arch of the shoes. Vendors do this so that you can determine how tight you would like the elastic.

    Honolulu, Hi

Is the leather getting thinner for newer products?

I have taken a notice of the most recent review on this product stating that the leather is thin, which worries me because I own the same shoes in the past 8 months and the leather is as thick as Dansoft - my first ballet slipper. Are the recent shoes of this style indeed skimping on the leather??? I hope not...

We have not gotten any notice that the vendor has changed the material for their products. - Carriemf (03/25/2013)

I would say they're not that different from one-soled shoes with only one elastic. - Balletsupremacist (02/08/2013)

I'm size 37.5, but 38 fits me better in street shoes and boots, what's my size for this one?

Suggested fitting is 3 sizes down from street shoe, UK size 38 is a US 8.0, so a 5.0 US
    - DDS Customer Service (11/06/2012)

I believe the conversion for U.S. shoe sizes is 38 = 7.5 so in this ballet shoe you would need to order is a 4.5. - Kaytee (12/11/2012)
