CUSTOMERS SAY:
For pointe dancers, these spacers alleviate pain, improve alignment, and prevent bunions. They can be sticky but washing them with baby powder helps. (Based on customer reviews.)
A Spacemaker by Bunheads placed between the first two toes aligns the big toe with the big toe joint to aid in the treatment and prevention of bunions. This helps to alleviate pressure and reduce inflammation of the bursa. Spacers are less stocky than the Spacemakers. They should be placed between any of the other toes to help prevent nails from cutting into adjacent toes. Also takes pressure off of soft corns.

Features:

  • 1 pair of Spacemakers and 1 pair of Spacers per package

The larger pieces are meant to be placed between the big toe and second toe, where the strap of a flip flop sandal would go. The thinner pieces can be placed anywhere that your toenail from one toe cuts into the next toe, to prevent this from happening. Because you're new to pointe, I wouldn't recommend using these unless your teacher has suggested them. They change the way your shoes feel and how they fit, so I wouldn't mess with them until you're a bit more experienced. - Dancerachel (07/17/2014)
